Warranty Registration

 

Thank you for using Makita/maktec professional power tools. Please fill in original warranty card comes with product, with dealer shop’s stamp, and then send to us within 10 days of purchase OR fill in the table on this page to register free warranty service. Please make sure all information is correct and keep original warranty card (customer slip) as well as original purchase invoice for our verification. We will not be able to deliver free warranty service if information provided is incorrect/missing or any one of the document cannot be presented. Please note that warranty will be void unless registration is done within 10 days of purchase.

 

We will not be able to register warranty and deliver free warranty service in the event that:

 

1. Through Online Warranty Registration

  1. Any of the following information is incorrect or missing:

      -Warranty card number

      -Model number

      -Serial number

      -Customer’s name

      -Contact number

      -Retail shop’s name

      -Date of purchase

  2. Customer cannot present registered original warranty card (customer slip) and

    original purchase invoice for our verification when the product is sent to us for

    repair.

 

2. Sending Original Warranty Card by Post

  1. Any of the following information is incorrect or missing

     -Model number

     -Serial number

     -Customer’s name

     -Contact number

     -Retail shop’s name

     -Date of purchase

  2. Warranty card number is altered;
  3. Warranty card is not stamped by retail shop;
  4. Customer cannot present registered original warranty card (customer slip) for
  5. our verification when the product is sent to us for repair.

 

Warranty Terms and Conditions

 

1. Free Warranty Period

  1. Three-month free warranty service for armature and field of all Makita/maktec power tools (excluding demolition hammer, angle grinder and masonry cutter) from the date of purchase (Invoice date). Consumable components such as carbon brush are excluded.
  2. One-month free warranty service for for armature and field of Makita/maktec demolition hammer, angle grinder and masonry cutter from the date of purchase (Invoice date). Consumable components such as carbon brush are excluded.

 

Our technician will inspect the product before repair/replacement. Free warranty service/Free replacement will not be provided if any unauthorized disassembly or modification is detected or product’s damage or failure is caused by “human factors” such as moisture, dropped from height, using counterfeit/substitute components or other improper use.

 

2. Product with Expired Warranty

We will provide charged repair service for product with expired warranty. After collecting product that is awaiting for repair from you, our technician will inspect the product free of charge and then provide you a repair quotation. You can decide whether you accept the repair quotation and let us repair. If you decide not to repair the said product, you can collect it without extra service charge.

 

3. After-repair Service

If product is damaged/failure within one week after being repaired by our service center and our technician confirmed that damage/failure is not caused by any human factors, we will provide free-of-charge repair service.

 

4. “Makita Club” Members’ Benefit

We offer perpetual repair labor charge 50% off discount to all “Makita Club” members! If you would like to become a member of “Makita Club”, please visit our showroom for more information.

 

5. Makita Service Centre and Product Drop/Collect Point

If you need us to provide free warranty service/charged repair service, please bring your tool together with registered original warranty card (customer slip) and original purchase invoice to any of the following locations:

You can also send your tool back to the retail shop from where you bought it.

 

6. On-site Pickup Service

We can provide free-of-charge on-site pickup service if more than 10 units of power tool have to be collected at a time or large power tool(s) such as table saw, band saw, etc. that are awaiting for repair. 7. Notes

Above services (No.1-6) are provided in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region for Hong Kong official products only. We will not deliver any inspection, repair or pickup services for all non-official products imported from other countries or districts (i.e. parallel imports). We reserve the right to interpret any terms and conditions set forth above in its sole and absolute discretion.
