Please fill in the original warranty card comes with the product and mail the “Makita Slip” to us within 14 days of purchase OR submit it to Makita Service Centre, Makita Showroom or any Makita dealers to claim our free warranty service. You may also extend the free warranty period of the lithium-ion cordless tools up to 12 months by registering the product information in this page! After registering on this page, there is no need to send the physical warranty card.
Ensure that all information is correct and please keep the warranty card (customer slip) and the original invoice / receipt / cash memo with you for verification and all information shall not be altered.
Please note that late warranty registration will be invalid.
Warranty Terms and Conditions (For online registration only)
- Below is the free warranty period from the date of purchase (Invoice date). Free warranty service excludes consumable and non-consumable accessories such as carbon brush.
Class Product Category Free Warranty Period i. Lithium-ion Cordless tools (Including Batteries and Chargers) 12 months ii. AC-Powered Tools (Excluding Demolition Hammer, Angle Grinder and Masonry Cutter) 3 months iii. AC-Powered Demolition Hammer, Angle Grinder and Masonry Cutter 1 month iv. Consumable and Non-consumable Accessories Invalid - Free warranty servicing / replacement will not be available if product’s damage or failure is caused by “human factors” such as 1) unauthorized repair or modification, 2) misused or subjected to neglect, improper or alteration care or carelessness 3) using non-Makita components / accessories / batteries, 4) using fuel with incorrect mix ratio, 5) using low quality fuel such as Naphtha.
- Free product checking service will be provided for any expired warranty and a suggested quotation for any repairing needed. The product will be returned free of charge if you decide not to repair it.
- The services mentioned above are valid in Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR for Hong Kong official products only. No warranty or repairing service will be provided for parallel products imported from other countries or districts.
