Official Notice about parallel import products

Recently, Makita Service Center has received some non-official products which are not supplied by Makita Power Tools (HK) Limited. Some are parallel imports which are imported from other countries but some are from unknown source.  We would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our stand on the terms and conditions of our warranty and repairing services.

• The voltage and specifications of parallel import products may different from that of Hong Kong official products and hence components may different even the products have the same model number. Therefore, we will not provide any warranty or official support including charged repair service for all parallel import products.

• Since parallel import products are not supplied by Makita HK, we cannot guarantee the quality of products and ensure there are no illegal modifications. Therefore, we bear no liability for accidents, personal injury or property damage (or damage to products) that occurs as a result of the use of parallel import products.
